Since the struggle is hugh maybe we can help each other with some handy startegies: 1. As all shield protected units, before health is deminsihed by hits the whole shield have to be destroied.. So if there is a wolf pack of small annoying aliens what i try to do is get all shiled gone by different troops and finish them allwith 1 of my strong tanks, its a wasteof fire power to hit 2hp shield with a 200hp blue dragon attack hit.. 2. They have spawnpoints which you can occupy (no own troop deploymemt), this is often the only way toget a rest and get to teh objective... I will add lateron a pica as example but you can see whether they can spawn by the blue sparking eye in the spawnpoint. 3. Some base dont have air defence.. Get them by air. 4. Lots of small troops have only 2hex attack range.. Get them as often by 3 hex units. 5. Infantery? Normally dont use them but maybe they are handy? etc feel free to give your observations below so we alllearn

Singlemalt inf is usable for surrounding units, as you drop enemies morale and attack with ranged units. Uhmm......their morale cannot be drop as they are far more superior. Well ranged units are great at owning aliens with only 2-hex range.

The alien missions are ridiculously difficult and just impossible for free to play players. Right now I'm on Alpha-5
Here are things I learned
1. Alien troops are insanely fast if your not careful on moving your army they can get easily surrounded
2. The alien generals have damaging abilities. Warlord can damage an area with meteorites and queen can damage a line with a laser. Position your troops well these abilities are dangerous
3. Vision is very important. knowing where the enemy is can make your games so much easier Build radars
4. Tactical Cards is NECESSARY TO WIN. The alien maps are too tedious it's big and swarming with ridiculously beefy enemies.
5. Guardian and Angel are the best generals here because it's all about surviving the enemy spawns too fast and difficult to destroy. Also since tanks are your main troops here it's also advisable to take duke
6. Rush for the objectives. Don't waste your time to invade every building they will just be taken back by the aliens in 3-4 turns.
7. Use planes to thin out shields then use your other troops to destroy them after that use your strongest tank to wipe them out.
8. Objectives here are usually to destroy or capture it's advisable to destroy first and capture after because when your army is thined out or separated they are easy targets for the aliens
