So first thing, I am back, (under a new name, i was Frederick before), I was busy with school wotk so I was inactive.
Now I want to ask: Is there any general in the game thqt you must get because of their irl accomplishments, their story or just because you like them?
Me its Ney, its just nice to have the Bravest of the Braves on your team.

Welcome back fellow Maréchal. My favourite general is obviously Lannes and I think I'm questioning your "bravest of the brave" with what I did at Lodi. Here it is: "Lannes was the first man across the bridge, followed closely by Napoleon. Mounted on his magnificent charger, Lannes galloped up to the Austrians and snatched a standard; as he was about to seize another, his horse sank under him. In a moment the swords of a half-dozen Austrian cuirassiers clashed about him. He dismounted from his dying steed, leaped onto the horse of an Austrian officer, slew him with a single stroke, and charged the cuirassiers to fight his way back to his men. Napoleon never forgot Lannes’s bravery on that occasion" source: warfarehistorynetwork.com/daily/military-history/napoleon-bonapartes-roland-marshal-jean-lannes/

For me it would be Bethier he should had economic master and either logistics skill or leadership since he was a Napoleons chief of staff and he was a great administrator. And also i would pick Lassale Easytech actually did him justice except for the sailor ability he was charismatic and he was also brave i would had put leadership on him.

General William T. Sherman,if i had to pic a person between Blucher and Nelson i would pick Nelson he is more well known and is in 9th place out of 100 in 100 Greatest Britons. Also he beat the Spanish and French fleet at Trafalgar as we all know and that in itself was no easy victory and it cost Nelson his life:'( .He is number 12 in my greatest military leader list first being Julius Ceaser and many others but my point is that Nelson was a bad *Auto corrected* he was awesome!

Nelson was a brilliant naval commander, virtually saving Egypt and the Ottomans from a possible French takeover of Egypt and the levant. About that military list, i would not say Julius Caesar is #1, in fact, he would not even be in my top 10 probably. My top ten military commanders (Not in order because I'm too lazy and sleepy rn to assess that): Frederick the Great Napoleon Bonaparte Heinz Guderian Fritz Erich von Manstein Paul von Lettow-Vorbeck Chester Nimitz Ulysses S. Grant Dwight D. Eisenhower Horatio Nelson Hugh Dowding IDK, maybe I'm just biased because I'm German and American, but here are my picks for top ten. Plus, i do need to read more about the Napoleonic Wars.

Not everyone should have leadership, as you suggest for every general ever whenever the topic of someone's skills is mentioned. It should only be for those who inspired great bravery and loyalty among the men. Berthier is not that. I say Berthier should be more along the lines of: War Expert (he knew strategy damn well) Geography (he was responsible for planning maneuvers) Banner (His presence aided all around him) Logistics (he was responsible for the supplies of the army)

I mean most generals were brave (except George B. McLellan, God that guy was dumb and cowardly) but most weren't able to inspire great loyalty and bravery for his men.
