I vote for Murat because...
Moreau -> I can get 2 nice princess arty generals. One moves very fast another hits fort very hard. Suvorov -> I can get Victoria. Infantry general is not that important (esp buying with emblems) Poniatowski/Dombrowski -> I can get Lan. Well, they are good but they have the same role as Lan so I would go for Murat who offers a new role.
Basically, only Murat's role that cannot be filled with princesses.

Sulkowski/Savary can do that.

He's #2 Cavalry people killer, unless you really want 4* training, in which case you get Radetzky the problem is that he's a cavalry general only. Ponitowski is a pure hybird but in terms of output I'd go for Murat honestly. Possibly. But Davout is his equal against men, faster, and good on Cavalry

add me to that list. Moreau got rekt by Suvorov the only reason I never play as Russia or Any of France's allies 1798 is that suvorov never lost a battle and I respect that

True. The top 3 Maréchal d'Empire never lost a battle in their lifes Didn't know that but actually Davout was part of Waterloo as army command in Paris so I consider it a defeat. Besides apart from Jean Lannes I never lost massena or davout in campaigns

Besides apart from Jean Lannes I never lost massena or davout in campaigns Davout was chief of staff in Paris, so he's not considered to have participated in the battle. If Davout commanded the force Grouchy did in RL, Napoleon probablywould have won
