I was thinking of this, from the ground up taking the best parts and making a new game, over the summer I might attempt it, with help/suggestions I was thinking a system to create your own generals, a civ-rev style research system in conquest w/ expanded diplomacy (all of this very simple) I was also thinking like "super skills", so like Napoleon gives all artillery in the army a special damage buff(with same for Duke Charles on infantry), or Poniatowski and gives a special "Unyielding Courage" buff that can be triggered by player that removes all low moral and enemy evasions for unit(s) of your nation in 20 spaces for 2 turns. Perhaps even an rpg element that allows you to select/modify what skills a general gets?

Also, as a final caveat, better broad spectrum skills for generals, so someone like Archduke Charles or Blücher does not become useless because of the lack of appropriate skills(Charles has literally all evasions except artillery, effectively wasting his slots despite his real life ability)

If you say Aspern-Essling then let me remind you that Lannes held out for a day with 20k vs. 90k

Like poniatowski doesn't have the useless "fireproof"?

I could try, but my native version is iOS, and from what I have seen the .apk modding is a tad unreliable, but when I get a chance I'll give it a go! This chance will be over the summer as I have little time right now to start, and that honestly goes into research and the forum

If you say Aspern-Essling then let me remind you that Lannes held out for a day with 20k vs. 90k This is true, but he was without a doubt the most successful Coalition General in the first few Coalition wars. His rather cautious style was very outmatched when it came to Lannes, however, because Lannes quite simply would not care and advance while Charles would be carefully forming his lines and flanks

Lannes just wouldn't care and push into enemy lines. And in the first few Coalition wars I'd have to give it to Nelson but since you said general it should be Suvorov

I wouldn't mind seeing the carving up of Africa as a conquest

Jean-Luc Picard,So what are Lassales real live skills.I would put leadership on him instead of saailor because he was one of napoleans most charismatic commanders.
