Raevsky is a litlle bit indifferent for me. Yes, he is a move trainer, yes, he has surprise (+1 cav max dam). Defense art is neglectable. Conclusion:Buy Diez, if you want move training, buy another tier-2 cav general if you want a keeper.
Nenadovic is fine imho, as he is a trainer, a 5 star merchant and a city income generator. Buy him (if you do not have a 5 star mechant already) and keep him until you have Lan.

Not to my knowledge. Recycling all the info in this forum, Explosive, Surprise and Formation give +1 max damage for their respective unit type.

A fast, reasonable-output Cavalry like Raevsky is good in the short-medium run, but he is definitely overpriced. Get Sulkowski or Golitsyn

Works good in trading and is the only economic master in Tier 2

No Econ ability, which is a drawback for a beginner without the Napoleonic Code, bit also no Architecture, which Kosciusko has and we can afford in the Long Run. Spy makes him viable as medium-run general, but who buys only for the medium-run?

Scharnhorst ans Sulkowski ars short-medium run, Arnold's lack of Econ makes him unviable without the Code, and his lack of architecture makes him far below Kosciuszko. He's an OK combat guy foir the short run and a trainer, though, so there's definitely room to make a case

Well, for that role he fits in the short run excellently, and decently in the short run. I personally like my 5* merchant with some Econ ability too, hence Kosciusko and Dearborn
