Now I am so sad buying the game after the update kicked in. That's 33% faster medal farm rate.

That would be an advantage that the chinese version of world conqueror 3 has over the IOS version,we can pick which apk version we want and install whatever. Even more, all the apk versions are backward compatible so we can upgrade and downgrade at will.I have tested some of this without any apparent issues. Having said that kanue, you are a pro player, got to the end game rather quicky and would have done well no matter what,I am sure of it

Thanks guys..this topic really helped me out. I just felt like going on a hunt for wonders but didn't know how.

I've calculated that in order to get Heinz Guderian (3350 in Berlin) you would need to have the game open nonstop for 5 weeks (840 hours) and have all 3 medals producing wonders. (Actually you get 3360 medals (10 more than needed) but nobody cares about 10 medals when talking about hundreds and thousands of them. Thanks for your calculations so i can stop bothering with game now. That mean that this wonders doesn't worth it. And the easytech doesn't allow us to gather medal while we are not playing the game so we force to pay for them. Thanks i'll pass.

It's always nice to have free medals everytime we play but Easytech did not design these wonders to bypass the benefit of buying medals or else no one would pay and they would go out of business.
Think of this more of a bonus or a cool goal to reach,or an achievement or just something like bragging rights rather than a super epic wonder medal making machine.

I think medal wonders are there just to give us a sense that medal is farmable. I don't like WC3 that the game is designed this way; players are not rewarded from playing the game. In EW4, I earn a bit of medals from playing the game and my generals are getting stronger from combats. That is not the case here in WC3 where, (mostly) everything is medal dependent and that does not come from playing the game. One may argue that upgrades do not require medal but at some point in the game, industry, too, becomes practically unfarmable (e.g. 300-400 industry from a 3 gold stars campaign while upgrades cost 100+k). So now it comes back to trade with medals.
If EasyTech is afraid of "no one pays" then they can do something more constructive like selling expansion pack, extra campaigns (fictional is fine for me), more conquest maps, challenges, etc. Basically selling game contents. Once a player has been farming so hard for a great general lineup, he would surely want more campaigns for the generals to run wild. I am sure everyone who loves this game will pay for that but not everyone pays for medals. I am willing to pay $1, $2, or even $20 if the content justifies the price but I am not paying a cent buying medals.

The problem of WC3 is that You have to pay all the time. EW4 is much more loyal to lazy gamers. Let's take challenge missions. In mission 7 acumulate the resourses in 10 turns. You need 600 oil if I remember correctly. At the same time there is only one oil field. Means it is simply impossible without purchasing the Oil generator wonder. Those cost enormous amount and... needed only for that particular mission? Totally senseless. But You can always pay/trade-pay

Well none of their games that I know off sell content or expansion packs, the only thing that pays their bills is players buying medals/emblems .
I prefer games where it is possible to somewhat farm the main currency.Like in EW4 it was hard and boring to farm medals for tier 1 and tier 2 generals and also for items but it was possible. It's harder in WC3 but not impossible imo it will just take a long time. I have purchased a few medals this time because I believe in supporting great gaming companies like Easytech and also because I farmed way too much in the chinese version and didnt want to do it all over again.

As kanue said earlier everything is focused on paying. Even lack of industry resource for wonders stimulates the player to trade it for medals and consequently pay. I also support good game developers, it's not a big deal for me pay 20 or even 100 dollars, I have good personal income, but it is a matter of principle. Here the guys from easytech made it absolutely uncomfortable to play without paying, You need to pass dozens of times same missions and conquests but at the same time You will have to trade Your earned medals for industry in order to build wonders (which are actually achievements, not the resource of income). I can understand such things like Ion Cannon or medals purchase, but industry is too much. So I consider it a pay-pay game and that is not good and that spoiled my attitude to Easytech to some extent.

Game is great. I play their games from first part European Wars: Muskets and Artillery and the company name was Easytime if remember correctly. The progress of the products is great. But from game to game You need to "eat cactus" (as we say in Russia) for a longer time if You do not want to pay. I am afraid of what shall we face next time

Here is what I think should be done with free players:
1939 and 1943 Conquests are possible without pay. This is the starting point for free players, grind these forever, and then grind more.
With the ressources you can build the wonders that give medals and even more ressouces.
After this, the campaign mode and possibly have enough to get decent generals.

I had to look for this thread again,I wanted to unlock the wonder city of cuzco the +2 medals/80 days and I though it was 43 allies but it isnt,I should have played the 1939 era.
So to clarify: Both the +1 and the +2 medal wonders are earned in the 1939 era.
The +1 for an axis victory and the +2 for an ally victory. Both victories must be done in under 65 turns.
The +3 medals is a late game purple mission reward.
It goes without saying these are unlocked only,we still have to have an ungodly amount of ressources to build them.
