Most generals in the game have been given the *Auto Corrected* end of the stick. I think they should have done like a rank system, put a general on a unit and he gives broad AoE effects (5+ hex range) and (separate from) weaker specific unit bonuses, then put "lower" ranked soldiers (or specialty men like Murat, Lannes, and Nelson) specific unit bonuses (OP bonuses in the case of the specialty guys) but no AoE banner-like bonuses.
Helps balance generals and make "lower tier" (but just as effective at commanding individual units irl) generals a more viable choice.

Generals from France should have benefits when they fight with French units such as a smaller chance to loose morale or generally a higher output and defense. |

Did Carl Von Clausewitz deserve to have the awful stats in EW4. He clearly knew his stuff and tactics so imo he deserves more, unless someone disagrees Most of the prussian (german) generals have stupid skills. Bulow for example (correct Bülow von dennewitz) defeated oudinot twice he was never defeated and what skills dose he have logistics and formation!? Gneisenau isn't even in the game but kleist?! Kleist dislike the military he was more a writer than a general. |

Or the fact that Prussia isn't considered a 'major power's ingame (and debatably IRL). I'd disagree, the Prussians had one of the most powerful militaries in all of Europe. They man for man managed to beat the Polish several times, which is no small feat. |

Or the fact that Prussia isn't considered a 'major power's ingame (and debatably IRL). It take's only 7 year's for prussia to regain power 1806-1813. Prussia reformatted the whole state in that time. The biggest problem at the time was wilhelm III. and that he hesitate to make clear decision. |
