I would like to know what item combination works best with certain generals such as Moreau, Murat, and who ever else. Also do if, for example, I give a general the gun powder that adds damage, does that work best with a certain type of artillery unit? Or is it generic for all the artillery units?

Attack items have the same effect (not percent, but just a value added) for all units.

Depends on your situation. Remember that you can always change the items your general hold. For example, you can have... +6 damage item x 2 for normal situation +6 damage item & Snare Drum when your general's health is low +2 movement item & Warhorse when your general is moving tent x 2 at the end of round when your general is injured etc...

But if you have a drum, isn't it another nice choice if you have defensive items? I mean when against normal units, you can save more health, because your general can have max attack even if they have 1 health.

Right... I would switch up the items depending on the situation. i.e Nelson at quarter health and Murat has a snare drum, I could switch Nelson's Pumper and Murat's snare drum, use Nelson to attack, and then switch the items back when I am done

You need to regenerate health while defending

You need to regenerate health while defending Tent: gain health after combat, 12 maximum. Defense: reduce damage during combat, 8 maximum. If your general get hit twice or more, either retaliate or atttack, defense>tent. And if your general is dead, you cannot regain health anymore, right?

If you don't have enough medals, then just buy cav.

You mean a cavalry general? It kind of also depends on your playstyle. I wouldn't buy a defensive item because surviving is normally pretty easy while regeneration takes longer

But you have drum, as long as it survives and can help you till the victory, health regeneration is really not a big issue.
