I don't typically watch Batman, but when I do, its damn good.
When I was younger, I loved Batman, i knew all the lore, watched the 90's animated show, and watched the Burton movies. I still hold love for Batman, so I might as well ask whether I have fellow Batman fans here?
If you don't, here are some good movies/shows involving Batman that are good.
My absolute favorite is the 1989 Tim Burton movie Batman. It was really the first major Batman film and was a huge success at the box office. If you want to choose to watch one thing Batman related, this is it in my opinion.
The best part of the movie is how they portray Batman and the Joker. Unlike the typical lore, Burton portrays Batman as the one with the more mysterious past and the Joker with the known background. This is typically reversed, where the reader or viewer knows a lot about Batman but not much about the Joker. I really enjoy this aspect of the film. But the best part is Michael Keaton as Batman/Bruce Wayne and Jack Nicholson as the Joker. Nicholson is both completely sadistic and insane, but can still be funny at times, while Keaton can switch from being the pampered billionaire to the bad*ss Batman at any given moment.
Here's a nice fan-made modern trailer (It portrays the movie far more seriously than it actually is, but it does give a nice gist of what the movie's mood and feel is)
Another great Batman entertainment was the Batman animated series in the 90's. It looks childish, but it is really interesting and fun to watch. Ive forgotten most of the names of the episodes, but most Joker ones are good.
Finally, there is The Dark Knight which was made in 2008 by Christopher Nolan. I have personally never seen this movie, but I've heard its really good so id recommend seeing it.

Batman is my favorite superhero ( I don't really know of a lot besides him and the Avengers ) because he has no powers. I saw The Dark Knight and the Dark Knight Rises. They were pretty good.

Batman is my favorite DC character by far. Superman can die in a hole full of kryptonite for all I care, batman is the best. Now, the best batman movie in my opinion is The Dark Night Rises. Bane has a crappy death, but damn it was great.

TDK was great as well, but I wish Two face was more "fleshed out" (unintended pun for the win!), you know? I wish he was more than just the side villain they made him, but still not as important as Heath Ledger's joker. On top of that I feel like it didn't have enough action for my taste. TDKR we've got the Gotham Police against pretty much every criminal in Gotham, we've got Bane and the very daughter of Batman's 1st arch enemy, Ra's Ah Ghul, against Catwoman and the dark knight himself. On top of that, we see THREE bat mobiles under Bane's command, The Bat AKA Batman's little VTOL, and Batman flying away in said VTOL to save Gotham from nuclear death. Would love to see Adam West beat that.

I guarantee I'm the only one here who likes the 1989 film the best. The reason being that it was one of my favorite films during childhood (as with Indiana Jones, damn those movies were fantastic)

The action is a little cheesy but other than that they hold up well.

The Dark Knight trilogy, the Arkham Asylum games... I felt that the modern rendering of Batman is just so wrong. The deliberate twisting of the character to suit the "dark n edgier" vogue nowdays is just blatant disrespectful for everyone else outside that crowd. Sure, what's next? A pink unicorn and rainbows to balance things out 10 years from now? Now, don't get me wrong, I don't necessarily think Adam West was that good with Batman. I never felt connected with the crappy blue classic batman from my dad's generation. That was rather too extreme in campy and "adventure-some" tra-la-la-la. I personally love the 90s best (not the movies themselves which was rather cheesy and pathetic). The animated series felt to me the most well-balanced and most accessible for the largest amount of fans. It shows both the ruthlessness and humanity of Batman/Bruce Wayne so well. It was appropriate for children to watch, but yet it kept things serious enough for adults. The 90s proved that you can make Batman in a way that address sobering issues without the emo-dark tone which the pop culture folks seems to crave so much these days now.
