Hello everyone! I'm new to (this) forum!
A little about myself: I'm 16 years old and a "History Buff". I'm trying to specialize in years 1700-2000 of European warfare! IRL I wish to be a history teacher/ Artillery Officer.
Anyways, I need some help from the pros. I have some money to spend for emblems (10 emblems, cause Canadian dollar is bad). Should I buy the tier 2 generals or the tier 3 (emblem) generals? What are the best generals to buy for each unit (infantry/cav/arty)?
Any tips would be appreciated!

Hi, if you want to talk about history related things I recommend doing so in either the Officer's Lounge or the Polls & Presentation board.
What I'd do: Buy 2 slots Use emblems only for tier 6 generals: Murat first and then when you finish French campaign get Moreau Funny how both start with M and opposed Napoléon in 1813. One died due to a battle he never wanted to happen while the other one's last words were to not shoot at his head since it was too pretty

If you want Infantry, I'd but Lannes in 3rd tier and later Döbeln in the second. Cavalry definitely either Murat (for destroying forts) or Lasalle/Dombrowski for killing units. For artillery use your generals to acquire Sophia (also fort killer) and later Moreau, who is literally THE artillery commander. For navy (which for campaigns you NEED) get Ushakov, Nelson, maybe Treville.

2 slots is priority 1. Then generals: I recommend Poniatowski (6 emblems) or Davout (8)

Nelson's beauty is his ability as A: Navy (Banner+Leadership+Navigation) B: Main Force Artillery (Banner+Accurate) C: Artillery raider and/or Kamikaze (Leadership+Accurate) Treville is absolutely a no-go, since Kate is free and better. And NapoleonicBarrage, do you know about princesses?

I respectfully disagree, early game I'd much rather have a good hybrid that can be used with exception on any unit in a campaign instead of waiting to make an excellent unit and commander combo as that can take up too much precious time.

Poniatowski and Davout specifically have skill combos that make them competitive in power with the likes of Murat and Dombrowski

As far as units go, cavalry is in every campaign stage. And my Sakurako with just Strike does ~60 damage on light cavalry, so imagine what Murat can do.

Davout on Cavalry is Murat, only fast and not a fort smasher Poniatowski has Assault Art (Damage Bonus), Geography (Fast), Leadership (Flanking, Enemy horses), Fireproof (Navy) Davout on Artillery is s/l capable and fast
