Ya it is going to take a while on Germany for me...so should I do Spain or japan Absolutely yes! Nothing like the feeling of achieving your first complete conquest. It doesn't matter which nation, long as you did it. So I would say, go for the easiest ones first then work your way up from there.

OK I have taken all of Ireland and have most of the English ports along with 7 carriers...should I start invading Canada or finish europe This is your first one, so just focus on Europe. It's the region with the LARGEST income in the entire world. If one country rules it all, that country is going to end up rules the whole world sooner or later. The advice for going against Canada before finishing up Europe is for players who wants to rush for a turn limit record (like 30-35 turns to finish the entire conquest or even lower). You will learn how to be more efficient later. Do keep an eye out for Americans and Canadians, they tend to send a troop over to Europe to help out, one by one. And I suggest go after Canada from Ireland when you have Europe almost fully under control by the Axis powers (as Spain, don't worry about Russia, just send a couple of units to the front lines for Germany to continue their brutal push into Russia).

ya I have a small fleet and a motorized infantry at off northern Canada heading south taking out the defenses and intercepting troop transports...I only need to take London to finish off england and Germany has taken most of Europe. I'm on turn 56 I think.

Okay, that is fine.
Have you checked out the guides for various conquest sorted by countries and era? I did posted a link. It would help you as it did help me (not fully, but I was able to figure out the rest of it for myself).
Btw...I'm still not quite done with my advice on oversea invasions. I plan to post it in a thread of its own as a stand-alone guide for anyone.

that might help but I have already started a small invasion...I tool the city in north east Canada and have. Been spawning light infantry to take Ottawa with the help of a fleet of carriers and battleships...once I take Ottawa I can bomb new York and Washington and the rest should be easy

Thank you guys so much for all the help you guys have given me...I won with Spain in 149 turns (definently needs improvement;) Perfect for the first one! I had screwed up my first one pretty badly and managed to finish it in 180 - something turns playing Italy 1939. Now if I did it again, I would be able to play it under 60 turns without breaking a sweat, almost automatic play at that level. You will be able to do it like that later. Hang in there.

The biggest problem (or hassle) of playing Axis in 1939 is to mop up Australia, it takes too much time (unless you are America).

Yes indeed, needs a few turns for preparation makes it annoying QwQ I took most if north america with an army of paratroopers 39+ so I had a ton of extra troops and I just swarmed them

Also what does promoting generals do does it increase bonuses Increase HP of the general. Don't do it, at least for a long while until you have a full team of strong generals (minimum like 4 or 5 stars in a category matching the troop type). Best to save medals for getting a general you don't have yet rather than promote a general you already had.
