Whats up with the vulgar language rules on the forum? I see moderators swear, other people swear some get warned some dont etc. I'm really puzzled about the rules so if someone cool give me a definitive, not vague guideline thank you

This is coincidentally a topic being discussed by the mods right now. We will have an answer when all of them voice their opinions.

Can we at least call eachoter ×××××? No, probably not. That's insulting a fellow member.

We are not going to have a huge list of censored words or anything like this, that just isn't practical but things will have to change as I am getting complaints on this.
Occasional/rare slips are understandable but be aware that repeat habitual cursing or vulgar language is not acceptable. The forum is not just for you or for me or for X or for Y,it is for everybody and so we got to make it universally acceptable for most people and that means language control or at least some degree of it.
I know that I probably have not done a very good job at conveying that message in the past but it's not a precise science and it will never be a clear cut well defined concept. So what does it mean in practical terms? Don't do it,dont push it too far.If I have to choose between loosing a member that is offensive or loosing a member that got offended chances are very good the former will be cut rather than the latter. That's just practical necessary damage control.

Just saying that most of our veterans haven't crossed that line and if we continue like that we will never need a witchcraft. And there still is two offensive levels, that good, friendly offense, which is always understandable and shouldn't cross the line and there's that bad, attacking offense which we don't want to see here as it may offend someone.

Also cultural insensitivity wouldn't be allowed wouldn't it? It's a part of my culture to be insensitive to other cultures so your comments are insensitive to my culture. I am triggered, mods ban him or I will file a civil suit against the forum and you will be forced to follow the new law that is set in place because of my whining. Thank you, Papa Meme
