In the next series I Will discuss 2 generals, their pro's and cons and call a Victor. This time it is Bertier vs Mortier. Aka the expensive vs the bad skills.
Bertier in game is first an artillery general with no skills and can later be a top tier cav general. His main pros are that while upgrading him you can first use him as an arty general and later as a cav general, so you'll never not use him. Further more he skill-wise the best Free cav GENERAL. And Also he has 4 trade stars. His main con is that he is SO DAMN EXPENSIVE.
Mortier on the other hand is an arty general with completely mixed skills, he has ballistics for art, surprise, sailor, art trainer. He has 4 art stars. Pros are that he DOES have 4 stars on his main type of unit and that he is an art trainer. His main con is that he is too expensive for what we get and that he has real random skills.
Verdict: Both are expensive and Often critizised, both start as medicor artillery general, but I think that the main difference and the winning point Will be that you can invest literally millions in mortier, but he Will become nothing but stays a medicore art general, while Bertier, after regrouping, Will become a top-tier cav general.
Thus I declare Bertier the Victor with an 8/10 majority.

Berthier is very very expensive, but at least he is strong after regrouping. Mortier is actually a cav general, and very weak one.(same instant firepower as Platov on cav) I rather make up Charles or Junot.

I didn't know that 'bout mortier, and though it was clear, I picked 2 which were both critizised about being too expensive for what they Give you, so I went on with them,

Call Victor? But both of these generals joined Louis XVIII.
Explanation: Victor-Perrin hunted Bonapratists after Waterloo

I think easy tech did a good job on bertier as he had enormous potential but lacked execution in real life
