I want to know who is the best hybrid general in the game is and what skills would a good hybrid general need to have. I don't care about how many stars they have because that can be change.

MEEEEEE I AM BEST HYBRID
A best possible theoretical hybrid should have assault art, defense art, geography, and leadership, because these abilities make a hybrid potent on literally any unit (even forts!) Poniatowski(me) has assault art and leadership and geography, so I am only one off from theoretical best (I have fireproof instead), which in this game is pretty good. I also get good starting stars, and can be focused on any unit (like I said, even forts or navy) and can s/l very well.
Another good hybrid (I think) is Desaix, since he ignores evasion while on inf/cav/art, so he can have higher output than I but he is more delicate and slow, he NEEDS a warhorse and snare drums to stay in the fight for a prolonged time, and he is not as good on anything besides art/cav/inf

people say desaix is terrible. Anyway, i don't think fireproof is that useful. Better to give him mass fire or spy instead.

I agree, fireproof is bad, but there are only a handful of generals w/ all four skills coherent and useful, and fireproof is more useful then banner, or logistics, or war expert, to name a few. I think Desaix is useful, if more expensive to train then he is worth, but you could also make the same argument about berthier |

Yea skills like banner, logistics, noblemen, war expert or master is terrible. What do you think of economic master or architect? Maybe they might be good skills to have for a hybrid. A hybrid doesn't have to just fight.

They could be useful, and they are both on one of the princesses, but she is economic only if I remember correctly

yea fatimah has both but she is useless at fighting. What about Washington? He has leadership, mass fire, economic master and banner. Banner is terrible so if he had defense or assault art, he would be very good. He has 5 stars in trading and training, 3 for infantry and movement and 2 for the rest so he is pretty good if you ask me.

You said that lannes has geography leadership, mass fire and assault art. He is probably the best hybrid then because all 4 of his skills would make him a good hybrid general.

No, Lannes has Mass fire, so you should use him as a super fast infantry general, because mass fire is only for infantry. Snare drum is the item that has the same ability, but can be used on any unit. Poniatowski is the best hybrid because his skills are all usable across all units. Yes, Lannes is better on infantry, like Murat or Lasalle is better on cav, or Nelson on Navy, but the best hybrid is Poniatowski(me  ) |

Desaix is somewhat potent everywhere, but not OP anywhere. In Tier 3, you want more bang, not a jack of all trades and master of none like Desaix
