I'll give the briefest here: We (mods) scanned all the mods with an engine called virustotal.com, owned by Google, which scans files and URLs on dozens of antivirus engines. All the chinese mods came up red (bad). Only safe ones are the Picard Mod (doesn't work) and WC2 mods. While we scan everything and debate a course of action, the mods board will stay locked. Baidu's download service itself was flagged by 2 engines, so proceed with caution there. Possibly dangerous mods: "Leader in Power: Glory of Soldiers", "The Fierce Battle", and "Imperial Hegemony: Glory Edition" Have a safe day, Your mods mod UPDATE: The mod team as a whole decided we will keep the mod board sealed up until we come up with an effective system to handle this matter. Meanwhile, use the [mod] tag. And I'd recommend putting all mod stuff in the Officers' Lounge to keep the game boards uncluttered UPDATE: saltin is making a new board for SAFE, tested and approved BY ME content. All three of those mods Ive had since theyve arrived here and nothing bad has happened to me. You're all just paranoid, holmes. They aren't even viruses, just categorized as unwanted.

Funny how the WC2 mod stuff came through safe, then Because it still had WC2's name dingdong! It was the same app just edited. All these Chinese mods are flagged because they have different names. Yours isnt flagged because the name isnt changed. To GP, its the same file! |
