Here are some lineups that i think are the best for campaign missions and conquests. I have split them into free lineups and lineups which cost money.
Free (4 slots):
Lan - best cav general in the game
Sophia - best fort cracker and good artillery general
Isabella - best artillery general
Golitysn - last slot filler, does't need regrouping and has 2 good cav skills
6 slots, no tier 3:
Same as free slots (golitysn is still last slot filler) except you have Victoria for infantry. For the remaining slot, i think Berthier is the best once fully regrouped so he has 5 cav stars and 5 movement stars so he can move 6 hexes on light infantry. Even tho it will cost lots of medals, i think it's worth it.
Instead of another cav general, i think kate can be used instead if you want a naval general. I think she is the best. If you only have 5 slots, have Victoria, lan, sophia, isabella and golitysn.
6 slots, tier 3:
Lan, sophia/murat for fortcracking ( i prefer sophia because she won't take damage from cav or infantry but murat can move again after he kills an enemy), Isabella/Moreau for artillery, Victoria/Suvurov ( i think victoria is better but you can get suvurov straight away,) poniatowski - best hybrid general and lasalle/golitysn as a last slot filler.
If you think i have missed anyone out, please let me know.
