if you farm medals, you will keep killings lots of soldiers so you get more refreshes. Keep refreshing until you see one of those generals and repeat

Suvurov>lannes. You would have enough cavalry generals (Lan, Murat, Lasalle, Dombrovski), you don't need Lannes for both cav and infantry.

Otherwise, I would have recommended Lannes since Cavalry is superior to infantry, and allowed Davout Poniatowski's slot since Davout has a bit more focus on Art and Cav |

Is Davout a hybrid? I would still choose suvurov over lannes. In campaigns, for land missions, you might be given 2-3 artillery for isabella, sophia and moreau to go on, 2 cavalry for Lan and 1 other cav general and guards for Victoria/Suvurov.
I really don't get why people think Lannes is that good tbh. The only thing he has going for him is movement but since he will be on infantry, that won't help him that much. I would only ever buy him if he had a cav skill instead of mass fire.

He has the OP assault art, and he's fast on Cav and Artillery |

And Davout has Geography, Assault Art, Surprise, and Explosive, making him a good-output, speedy general for Artillery and Cavalry. He's weak for infantry, but that's alright since we have Lannes/Suvorov and Victoria

i just realised lannes and poniatowski have literally the exact same skills except lannes has mass fire and poniatowski has fireproof. Even tho fireproof is usually useless, i think it's a better hybrid skill than mass fire because mass fire only works for infantry.
We were comparing suvurov with lannes so if someone had poniatowski, then the best option is to get suvurov. I guess you can have both suvurov and lannes but i wouldn't have Lannes and Poniatowski as they do the same things.
