Sophia is not that good, and surely not 'the best fortress smasher' if you want to get rid of fortresses: Buy Drommond and upgrade him and equip with items. I one shot lvl 1 and 2 fortresses with him.

Hypothetically, she can hit up to 400 on forts. Drummond can do less.
Sophia's sole weakness is that she starts with low stars

Btw she doesn't just destroy forts, she is also a good artillery general against soldiers. The majority of players who want to have the best artillery generals will get Sophia and Isabella as they are free. They will also get Moreau because he is joint best with Isabella against soldiers. Scharnhost is probably the best tier 2 artillery general you can get, there is grouchy as well but i never tried him out.

that makes drummond bad then because he has ballistics. The only tier 2 art generals worth getting are scharnhost and marmont.

Marmont is tier 1
And Yermolov is a decent (but not great) inf/art hybrid in Tier 2
