Yi Sun Sin, I think you should buy neither and go for Sophia in conquest. You'll get her in about under 65 turns for conquest europe.

Lefebvre is not that good. Keep him for now and after you have 4 generals regroup him.

Drummond is bad, Scharnhost is the best tier 2 art general you can get. Get Sophia and Isabella, they are the best art generals that you can get for free

Start with Sulkowski or Golitsyn (Cav), then conquest for Sophia (Art) in Europe and Kate (Navy) in America. If you intend to keep 4 slots, train them but don't bring in Kate. If 6, bring her in and train

Wouldn't Kutaisov (three star artillery ertillery trainer, explosives, siege master ) be a good choice too?

Yes, but it is recommended to go for a stronger, long-haul general instead. Kutaisov is always the preferred Artillery trainer, though
