So if you finished the game or are getting close to it share how you view the different phases. In other words when did you feel you went from one major phase to another.I'll start
Phase one. Main body of the game: -The Intro phase where no generals were even needed to play and win, this didnt last long ..ahaha -Item and first 6 (normal) princess acquisition + crazy medal farming needed. -Normal campaigns.
Phase 2.The End game: By now you have all of the items you need, got the basics and tactics down and you are going to need both because the second part of the game will test you hard but in a different way than you are used to so far. This includes:
-Lan and Victoria: normal timed conquest victories are no longer enough you now need to move as swift as the wind and win conquests at 200 kilometers per hour ! -Final 2 campaigns involve a large number of sea battles so you need to know that somewhat ahead of time so you can possibly include a hybrid general/admiral and navy items in your lineup if you dont own a navy one.

Intro: Your beginning, lasting Until you get Sophia and buy 1 tier 2 or 2 tier 1 guys (think 3 Emperors and Austerlitz as campaign point) R&D: You develop your skills as you gain Kate, Maria, Fatimah, and buy more generals. You develop your lineup, as well as your style. This phase will end between late in the starting campaign and mid-HRE
The Quest: This can be as early as Waterloo fir some and as late as the French Invasion of Russia missions for others. You will be priming yourself in conquest to go for Isabela. When you get her, your general squad will lose its floaties and truly become a squad.
The late-mid game:As you progress into the America campaign, you will further train your generals, hone your skills, and progress.
The Great Chase: Here, marking the rest of campaign, you will chase 3 things: The Elite Princesses, finishing all campaigns, and the perfect squad.
The end: After you get that, you just have fun

I only have sophia, i just dont have enough effort to grind up for any of the others, I definitely have the generals for it I just HATE late-game conquests, the removal of all forts and single enemy units is too much a chore

I have seperated this discussion into 2 seperate threads so that it would be easier for others to follow. The thread about number of slots can be found Here
