One benefit that would be lost if anyone is insane enough to become a mod: I get to whine to the staff about what's wrong, the staff has to work overtime to fix the wrongs then I reap the benefits of a nice forum just the same as a mod. Good to be a plain member  |

If you want more on this then PM Khurram, I didn't want to say this, but could you please stop bashing the other forum? I mean it never helps the matter when you repeatedly bring up the subject. Now that's brought up... I just don't get the point in starting a second forum when we already have one here that has been nothing but helpful, communicative, and open. And if I decide to go out to make my own forum, I would have to start from scratch and build up a community all over again, that's just too much work to try to make a secondary forum florish. If I was asked to take down my own forum that I just had started with just 4 members. I would have gone along with the request. I never see any purpose in a turf war. Just be a gamer and hang out together around the theme of Easytech games is what this forum all about. In my honest, blunt, forthcoming, direct opinion: it's rather stupid to go off and make up my own forum to feed my fantasy. I know I'm an old man who have survived through too many dramas on Internet forums, too many. I wish I had my time spent to come back unspent so I would use it better the second time. So I have a very different perspective that most people have. I wouldn't be surprised if my opinion is not the most common one and my system of values, cares, (and vices) is probably too weird for most people to understand how I feel about this. So with that said, I understand if anyone do have a disagreement with my sentiments. But I ask that if one hasn't through this experience of a turf war, realize that there's far more important things to do in RL than setting up petty kingdoms on the web, realize that it's extremely wasteful. |
