Commander! The Polish Uprisng has succeeded. It is time to defend Poland from the invaders.
Welcome to the first ever Scraps of St.Cyr; Poland 1798, Tavern generals only. This guide will tell you how to win as a nation that usually dies without generals. You are assigned Kosciusko and Dombrowski here, two very useful generals.
Tavern generals I used:
Poniatowski (Warsaw) on double guards.
Wittgenstein (Clujnapoca) on double guards (unecessary)
Alright, let's start.
Poland is not yet lost
Generals used: Kosciusko, Dombrowski.
Commander! Prussian and Holy Roman Empire armies are close to our borders, threatening to invade us. You must defend and buy time for the assembly of our troops.
The first general to come at you is usually L'Estocq. Set a trap for him in the level 2 town near the Prussian border. Retreat the heavy artillery, then put Dombrowsku and the grenadier on a flanking position. Kill L'Estocq.
Second general is usually Deroy, flank and kill; use the fort too.
While you're at this, start bombarding Suvorov. DO NOT START AT TURN ONE!!! A russian light cavalry will attack your cannon if you do. Instead, wait until he comes out,kill him, and bombard Suvorov.
Don't forget to use Kosciusko to upgrade your cities.
Expansion into Prussia
Generals used: Dombrowski.
Commander, we have secured Poland for now. We must expand to better prepare for the next attack.
Use the troops you used to kill L'Estocq to take the stable and armory. Your heavy cannon starts bombarding Berlin here.
Battle of Warsaw
Generals used: Kosciusko, Dombrowski, Tavern Poniatowski.
Commander! The hour of decision has come. A huge Russian army prepares to attack Warsaw. We must repulse them, or we perish.
You already have bombarded Suvorov here, so killing him will be easy. My Kosciusko was heavily injured killing him, though. Spam artillery with Bagration and other Russian troops. Holy Roman Empire troops under Rosenberg will also attack, use Dombrowski to repulse him.
Use your resources wisely here to defend cities and armories.
No generals, or possibly Dombrowski
Our forces have besieged Berlin. Commander, It is time to take it and neutralize Prussia.
Take Berlin with your grenadier. If he is dead, make light cavalry from the stable. Then, rush to Westphalia, take Oldenburg and the stable.
Dombrowski's March
Generals used: Dombrowski
The invaders' army have been repulsed. It is time to march and retake land from the foreign invaders. General Dombrowski will help you.Marsz, marsz, Dąbrowski!
March to Brunn, taking Holy Roman cities along the way, then march to Vienna. Use troops from Vienna to Budapest. After Budapest falls, Dombrowski rushes to the Iberian Peninsula.
Take Lviv too as it will be vital.
Invasion of Russia
Generals used: Poniatowski.
Commander! Russia has been weakened due to constant warfare. It is time to secure our eastern border by invading Russia.
Take Vilnius and the stable. Here, split your army in two.
Army Group North advances to Riga, city and stable near Moscow, unite with Army Group South to Moscow.
Army Group South advances to Kiev, armory near Moscow, then Moscow.
Siege of Danzig
No generals
It is time to connect our nation to the sea. Take the port of Danzig and secure us a connection to the sea.
Take Danzig and the port. Use the armory to help you spam cannons and destroy the Prussian Fleet and kill Ushakov. Once taken, spam frigates.
Dominate the Baltic Sea
No generals
Commander! Sweden and Russia has threatened our access to the sea. You must take their ports and secure the Baltic.
Your targets are Karlskrona, Riga, and Stockholm port. Use your frigates to take them. Spam more at Karlskrona and Stockholm port.
Invasion of Sweden
No generals
Commander, we have taken the Baltic. It is time to secure our northern border by invading Sweden.
Take Stockholm and move to the armory. Then take Goteborg and stable.
Sometimes Wilhelm III will take Kiel or Copenhagen, use your army in Westphalia to take care of him.
Transylvanian-Crimean Campaign
No generals
Remnants of Holy Roman Empire and Russia have retreated to Transylvania and Crimea. Destroy them once and for all.
Spam guards at Lviv to take Moldova and the HRE city near Clujnapoca. Troops from Kiev attack the Russian stable. Attack Clujnapoca from Budapest after you have killed Lusignan. Take the Crimean port with troops from the stable. Aid Ottomans wherever necessary.
Peninsular War
Generals used: Dombrowski
Spain has sent emissiaries in asking for our aid in the war against Portugal. Aid Spain and expand Poland.
Pretty straightforward, attack Portugal, avoid Beresford, aid Spain.
Invasion of Britain
No generals
Our alliance with France means that we will participate in their invasion of Britain. Destroy the last enemy of our nation.
Assemble your forces from Oldenburg and the stable nearby. Use guards and armored cars here. Land at the armory next to London, take London and the stable. Push to Scotland and Ireland.
Operation POLAND (Please ObLiterate Anything Not Dead)
Kill any resistance, Napoleon should have dealt with the Italian coast, if not help him.
That's it. This conquest is thrilling at the beginning, but boring in the end. It's also slow (97 turns for me) but gave me 99 medals.
