The only thing I know about Doctor Who is that whenever he dies, he can come back as anything he wants. And I knew someone once who ate, breathed, drank, and lived Doctor Who. He asked at least twice a day if I ever watch it  This is not true. A member of his species only has twelve reincarnations, and cannot choose any aesthetics and can only choose ones gender when reforming. |

If you have seen the episode in season 6: Let's Kill Hitler, Melody (River) focuses on making herself thinner during regeneration. The twelfth doctor is also known for using a face he had already seen from Rome. Timelords can also control when they regenerate, as noted in the episode Nightmare in Silver. Timelords can even regenerate into themselves if they want, like the tenth did in Night of the Daleks. Also timelords typically don't have just 12 regenerations, if you have seen Hell Bent, it illustrates the fact that the doctor was only allotted twelve regenerations, and other timelords were allotted more! |
