With a growing number of Darth Vaders, I think we need ranks at 1000 and maybe also 1500 and/or 2000 and/or 3000 posts. I can think of several ways:
A) Rename "General as "Brigader, "Marshal" as "General", "Darth Vader" as "Marshal", the 1000 post rank as "Darth Vader", and the highest rank as "Emperor"
B) Name the 1,000+ member ranks with names like Baron, Count, Duke, King, and Emperor
C) Let the first person who hit these ranks (Mountbatten) name them
Moderators: This is a matter I think everyone should have a voice in, so I didn't post it in the modcave

I personally dont mind it, but i dont want it to become a spam-marathon like the last time :/ The thing is that those ranks will all already have been reached by Jean Lannes, Mountbatten, and Napoleon Bonaparte, so the race for being first will not happen. And people will spam for the highest rank always (Macarthur, Deso and i did it, not just the old generation) |

We can have an arangement where it is chosen by committee of the first x people who hit the rank (you, Batten, Lannes, me, Netherfreek, Sherman, and a few others) |

Also note that saltin is running out of colors, so for the potentially new rank the cors needs to be the same

We could add more ranks if you guys want them but:
1)We wont change the existing structure (no bumping a major back to captain or something like that) so whatever new system we have has to build and add to the existing rank mechanics.Colors might have to be tweeked a little bit.
2)We probably will keep the max membership stars at 5 I think more is a little distracting and less realistic.
3)If we are going to make changes then the conversation needs to be open and public for all to see as this involves all of the membership and so everyone should be free to participate and post their thoughts about the new ranking system.

Well, about the maximum 5 star rank thing, saltin is right because I think there has been no other official ranks above 5 stars in the world. Sure you can say about the General of the Armies held by G. Washington and someone else(I forgot), but no clear and official rank emblem has been made by the US for the General of the Armies position. The French also has the Amiral de la Flotte held by Darlan, but again, it's probably an exception that was caused by this and that and etc.
And the renaming of some ranks below Darth Vader could actually work since different militaries have different names for arguably same ranks so we probably have to stick to a country's military names or easytech's military names or Star Wars' names or not change anything.
