I also can't recall the time aliens invaded earth. I must've been on vacation in Australia.

The one plus about the 60s version is the lack of that one Northern Canadian City.

And the disappearance of Burma (now Myanmar), Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, blah blah. Thailand was left alone!

The strong Thailand: In 1939, surrounded by UK and France, it's there. In 1943, under Slim, Wavell, Sun and Bai's threat, it's there. In 1950, being the target of UK missile, it's there. In 1960, standing in front of Australian invasion, it's there. In 1975, when alien comes, it's there. Thailand, a country that falls easily, but never stands back.

The least they could do in 1960 is have Czechoslovakia erased like Austria, or shoved into Poland. Why is it part of (West) Germany? Why?

The least they could do in 1960 is have Czechoslovakia erased like Austria, or shoved into Poland. Why is it part of (West) Germany? Why? I never understood that one either. I do suspect that Easytech neglected to check that conquest before moving onto GOG2. I think someone accidentally took Vienna off the map while it was intended to be still there as a part of the gameplay. Look at Hawaii, the only time America doesn't posses the dock there at the start happens to be in the 1960 one (other than the Aliens in 1975). For whatever reason, Easytech hasn't fixed the error where Australia actually owns the dock at the beginning of the 1960 conquest. This is a clearly overlooked mistake rather than a deliberate design.

LOL I had just assumed it was meant for Australia to have that port, because their main strategy in 1960 is to spam carriers from there to send to the China/the Japaese Islands (because poor Japan gets nuked off the face of the planet, thx China)

Also, East Prussia shouldn't exist in 1960.
