I prefer rocket artillery since theres no chance of alien to fire back when using it and it's faster then field artillery.

Yeah definitely rocket artillery, you have mobility and no retaliation, but no retaliation means you can't fight back either. Still though, Rocket Artillery FTW.

Really similar in stats with the rockets having a little stability in the damage,lower maximum potential damage but higher minimum damage than the field artillery. Over all I think a mixture of both would work best mainly field artillery in defense and mostly rockets when attacking.Just dont want the rocket artillery to be the one in the city when that city is attacked.

saltin Quite true, my friend, quite true. Rocket Artillery mobility gives it the edge but the no retaliation from te opponent or itself cancels that out, ad while it has a smaller maximum damage, it has a higher minimum for reliability, while field artillery is quite opposite on most if not all accounts. I think Rocket Artillery is better too. But since Ema emphasizes on using Field Artillery, I think I might miss out something.

Yes, you know, in every conquest there is a critical point, after that is only a question of time to complete the conquest. Rockets have more speed but is more expansive than artillery and cant retaliate: my opinion is that, before the critical point, is better to attack with missiles and airtroopers and to defend with artillery. After critical point, when you have a lot of money, rockets and supertanks are good to conquest cities (with alien) too far from missile station. Im completing conquest with Japan and i used exactly this tactic: conquest cities occupied by Aliens with missile and without aliens with paratroopers, than defense with artillery supported ever by missiles

Field Artillery is the biggest help due to them being able to attack without retaliation at 60%. It's Tough during the beginning but it can be done

redspyda gratz on the alien conquest,you are one of only 2 players on this board to have done it (the other being Ema). Would be great if you wanted to make a seperate thread and make a SU alien conquest guide,I am sure many posters would live to see your strategy,tech levels,general used,what you observed that worked for you,what didnt work ect.. Redspyda that world pic you posted is great,we are so used to seing the alien color dominating the world,it looks kinda weird. Must have have taken a lot of effort to repaint the world But yeah,if you feel like it and can make a guide I wouldn't miss it!
