No. Economic Expert isn't useful with Napoleonic Code, and if you want 5 star Business buy Arnold. Combat ability makes him better. Then use his 5 stars to get Napoleonic Code. I'm guessing this isn't your first general, but if it is just buy Dumoriez.

Dumoriez? Is he an arty or cav? And I'm new here, so I've played Coalition 1 for days to get Golitsyn

And I'm new here, so I've played Coalition 1 for days to get Golitsyn As much as this pains me as a guy who bought Golitsyn first, but as a starting general, Dumouriez>Golitsyn. Cav trainer and effective cost (575 medals for 4 stars cav+surprise) makes him perfect. Of course, followed shortly by Kutaisov (arty, cheaper, less stars, good arty skill). I also see a fellow Indonesian here.

But your path (generally) Dumouriez/Golitsyn Golitsyn + Sophia Golitsyn + Sophia + Scarnhorst/Yermolov (optional) Golitsyn + Sophia + Isabela Golitsyn + Sophia + Isabela + Lan Regroup Golitsyn, upgrade your Sophia, Isabela, Lan then buy him again.

Woah, that's very detailed. You're like the Erich von Manstein of EW4. And one more, how do you farm medals? I just use Radetsky on Davout in Coalition 1 for hours to farm almost everything (even when I'm waiting in the traffic jam in the city transport from highschool to home, I could get up to 4 refresh and 70 medals, which is the most effective so far) And where is Dumoriez? Tier 1 or 2?

Nobody beats Erich von Manstein mate. I learn from him and some other EW4 contributors, and I rate myself as a second-rate contributor. Also, Refresh farming: what you did Medal farming: Battle of Trafalgar, saltin 's guide. Dumouriez is tier-1.

Keep in mind that the pathway I posted is largely untested since my actual one features emblems and slots (Microsoft remembers that I bought them originally on my old PC, so they gave them on the new one)

I like your spirit and honesty. Anyway, back to EW4, can anyone point out the best starting general, exactly which one? I seem to hear two different choices. I am now starting EW4 for the 2nd time, trying to get used to it, if anyone can give a link to a good thread that outlines the best way to get started in EW4 like the one we have in the WC3 boards for picking Badoglio to start with, then proceed to Guderian, and so forth, an official guide thread?

We don't have that yet. This thread honestly became it just now You can either get Dumouriez or Golitsyn, depending on how confident you are at your ability in campaigns with no generals
