Yay! We're halfway to making another Random Area thread!
By the way, I was wondering about the ranks(Marshal, Darth Vader, Corporal, etc.) that are determined by one's posts. Do any of you know where can you see how many posts to get to a certain rank?

There is probably a thread somewhere that shows counts but I'm not sure where exactly. I think it's 700 posts for Darth Vader |

That's called halava Anyway enjoy them, they are very good So... what's HALO again? Is it that generic-good-vs-evil-FPS-clone-everyone-is-or-was-talking-about? Never call halo or doom a clone, they are original, they are the beginning and the end of fps games, they are master race, and you never know what's good and what's evil, you are one vs your fate |

It really depends on which game it is, but you're fighting either aliens or Spartans. You're a Spartan warrior called Master Chief, but it is in the far future so you travel through space a good portion of time. You were created in a lab and the doctor created a computer with her consciousness in it to guide you. So basically you fight different species in a FPS style. Sparta exists in this althis? So aliens are Persia? No, its future not history there... |

Well every gamer should know most games considered legends made something new, let's start from where it began for PC, the first sidescroller game for PC DAVE, one of most successful game series of the time as nobody had anything like this on PC, note Mario was consoles only at that time Then first 3D fps Wolfenstein 3d(althru engine was still 2d, it was 3d game) Then came first true 3d fps game called Doom(3d engine, but not completely 3d) Then came first full 3d game Quake All of them are legends from both technical and gameplay Master of Orion was first Space strategy game Stronghold, first 3d realtime strategy game althru not fully 3d, more like 2.5d AOE I think no explanation needed Warcraft, we all know it Etc GTA first open world, open gameplay game GTA 3 first 3d open world, open gameplay game Etc Etc etc I wrote only some legends, but you know there are a lot more, they all earned it, and those who played them then knows they are better than nowaday games in a lot of ways, and modern companies trying to make new games on legends has a 90% fatality rate... |

I think that when they finish remastering it, it could be classified as the greatest game ever so far. |

Not even Skyrim? I think that when they finish remastering it, it could be classified as the greatest game ever so far. I dont call any game legends because none of them seem like legends imo. Lettow-Vorbeck's East African campaign is legendary, Battle of Thermopylae is legendary, Battle of Normandy is legendary, etc. etc. I just dont think any game deserves that title, even games which I like. But again, feel free to disagree  |
