.org/image/f3grbkxav/] [/url] Hey! Look, Stuttgamunich of Bavaria! Just kidding, I saw something amusing and I wanted to share. You can see it for yourself if you zoom out at a certain distance, you will see two cities merge their names in a funny way. You probably want to try to zoom in from max instead if it's easier. Either way works.

Just finished my very first EW4 conquest. 75 turns, France 1798. This Stuttgamunich picture came from that. Not too bad, 75 turns and without any generals and it's my first even. Edit: correction, the pic above wasn't from France 1798, it's 1809 instead. Sorry, my bad lol.

France 1798. I'm pretty sure if I tried it again I probably should hit under 65 turns this time. It was relatively a snoozefest, whacking a troop here, a troop there. I pretty much won through numerical superiority, aka swarm,swarm,swarm,swarm... I didn't upgrade any faculties when I hit 1,600 gold, 450 industry, 1000 food per turn, a bit crazy, I couldn't spend enough resources for new troops popping out of my cities/factories/stables (and a good slew of ships from the ports for good measure).

Try my guide for France 98 no Generals if you choose to try France. GB 1798 is also great

Curious to see if playing different sides would cause everything to be different, I closed that conquest and started France 1798, the same weird different map came up again! I checked my save data, and turns out that I was playing... France 1809. I had mistaken it for 1798. Out of curiosity, was 1809 supposed to be harder than 1798 for France?

Well, I don't know intent, but 1809 is harder for everything but minor French allies The French side is stronger, by virtue of more small (2-4 star) countries

France 1809 felt so much easier to coast along in comparison to beginner-friendly countries in WC3 as I chomped up every enemy in sight. (Well actually, I first went mostly against Iberia, then snuck past my allies and pounced on Prague amd went berserk on central Europe from there, pushed up Ireland from Spain and killed off England before I could finallu kill the eastern powers). It honestly felt so much easier than 1939 Japan for WC3 (one of the easiest bltiz powers in 1939). I'm completely surprised at the ease of conquests. Maybe it's because I'm an experienced veteran in WC3 before playing EW4 now?
