I'm going to guess Turkey or Israel. Is it in the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul? Yes it is, how did you find out? (there are several clues, I wanna find out which one you used) The architecture an style of the mosaic looked Byzantine to me. It was very similar to another Byzantine mosaic I've seen in real life from Israel so I figured it was probably from somewhere in Turkey or Israel. The bigget church in this area built by the Byzantines was the Hagia Sophia an there were a lot of tourists which led me to believe it had to be in Istanbul because not many other churches in that area would be as popular. I promise I didn't use google.

Yep Almost 10 000KM(≈5 800mi) Trans-Continental is probably a more riveting story though. You had the railroad being built from the East and the West at the same time, and I believe that whichever company got further from its starting point than the other, they would get a bonus from the U.S government. So you had the railroad being built from the East, mainly with aid of Irish immigrant workers, and the railroad being built from the West, mainly with aid of Chinese immigrant workers, both sides working feverishly to get further than the other. Ultimately, they met at Promontory Summit, Utah, in 1869, where the final spike for the railroad was was driven, the spike sometimes being referred to as "The Golden Spike".
