1st thing Guys I played EW 4 for a looooong time but i never found out the best way to defeat them or even if they are that useful because they are expensive and the coastal forts just destroy them and that is just a waste but the big thing is that they are limited on water. 2nd I dont know when you step lets say a desert 5% inf -5% cav art so is it worse defence or better on inf or I deal bigger damage 3rd Are rivers just hinderances because they make you slower but when I plat conquest as the UK in America 1775 there are some ships stuck in lakes and there are rivers so is there are method of transporting ships via rivers

Then you can just spam boats destroy coastal forts and you can use them to attack enemy ships and even land troops that are within range. 2nd I don't get what you're asking. 3rd no there isn't a way of transporting ships through rivers.
