It isn't. It just tells you when your phone is overheating, and kills apps when it is. You can choose when to. Or you can play it on Windows à la Windows Store. Computers are way less prone to it. My phone is old Shoot, but it doesn't overheat, why? It has normal processor and software Apps that tries to get the same effect can't do it right because it is impossible to get it right, I have seen how battery savers kills batteries, how volume boosters blows out speakers and how coolers (apps not physical ones) burns CPUs It just kills apps. Also, it has a penguin game.

I can advise only one don't use such apps if they aren't made by official developers and even then there is no guarantee that they won't kill some devices. Most of the newer androids love to crash in my experience... perhaps Google/phone maker needs to improve. As a note, the Chinese ones don't crash as often as the others. Indication?

Mostly software, I like how huawei has gone, good phones in most aspects, some other companies has some good models too like mi etc
