After seeing netherfreek's post about an old TW I thought to make a thread where all sorts of things related to previous wars, epic fails, plans, strategies, backstabbing hell ANYTHING is welcome.

Most things related to TWs are epic fails Like Let's attack Spain -I'm Spain -then I'm gonna crush you That was one of the best events in the TW ever. Another good event was the opening of Operation Mountain Retreat in the very first TW. If you dont know what it was, basically Lannes was expanding everywhere even when we told him to halt or else. So then we formed a secret plan to invade him and force him to concede. |

Unlike most of the people in TW I have never gotten salty in any TW and I too part in all of them!

Well TW12 is going to end. It was hosted by The Light Bringer It was a what if scenario if axis won ww2. The theme was pretty cool imo. Like the what if was interesting to me. I got japanese siberia and New zealand. I only had minor battles with the other sides. Japanese Siberia attacked Germany for a phase. New Zealand took papua from Indonesia. Well what can I say? Well it ended peacefully when we agreed it should end due to lack of players. That tech tree was really bad I tell you. It was in tiers and you had to research everything in a pervious tier to get to the next tier. You had to go through useless tech you didn't even want like battleships, tank upgrade when you didn't even want tanks ect. It also extended the TW by having us do a useless phrase of just research to get the stuff we want. The TW been going over a month now. I was planning to get to the last tier to get those special units since they sounded real cool. I would not recommend putting your tech in tiers and forcing people to research ALL THE STUFF before in your TW. We saw use of picard formula in this TW. I say it worked pretty well for the most part. A problem we found was that it wiped out armies too easily, like lost half of your army in one battle. Right now some members are lowering the number of loss so it will be better in future. |

However I feel that TW 12 was very important in that it helped test some new features. We saw the Picard Formula was good but had too many losses and we realised that tech trees like the one for this war do not work. I see it as a learning experience that will help future wars be better as they can see what works and what doesn't. |

Ohhhh, I remember my first TW... It was 5 or...6? Maybe 4? I dunno, I lost count of the wars, but it was that World War One theme. Man, I was Austria-Hungary and I had Mountbatten in Italy, we were CONSTANTLY fighting over Slovenia, lmao. The slugfest was real. Made me so mad at the time but it's funny as heck now. |
