Which is why it's a challenge. Even then, you probably still need Guderian and Govorov. You need Guderian, Govorov, and Patton Ah, yes. Forgot him.

What is ironic about that? being a president I'm just saying, every day it seems that if I have a name besides Eisenhower, people go crazy. Also presidents don't have as much freedom as you think.

I would definitely add a warning about Chung and Meyer, possibly also Weichs. And warn about starting with Eyes-covered IMHO Weichs is not so bad for beginners. Yes, first Badoglio and than Govorov is really better, but when I played first time (when I reached aliens game crashed and I had to restart), I bought Weichs and than Badoglio. In fact Weichs' damage is almost the same as Badoglio, (no artillery leader and 1 level explosives), speed for artillery is different only for rocket artillery, which is not used at the beginning. Lack of 90 hp is notable problem, but not so big. I think if anyone wants to make life easier at about 1k medals, Weichs is a good choice.

Health is pretty critical for Artillery Artillery General Requirements: -Output -Movement If you have a general quick enough to get to the fight, health usually plays a major role. Jean-Luc Picard is completely right.

I disagree. Health is pretty critical for Artillery Depends on situation. For example, in 1939 conquest in most cases he will not have problems to stay alive until you get enough money to continue with paratroopers or capture a city, where you can buy rocket artilleries. In campaigns it's also not a big problem to collect 1400 medals with Weichs to buy Badoglio. And when you keep Badoglio ahead, Weichs can do quite good behind.

It's still hugely inefficient, with regards to getting Patton, Guderian, and Govorov

But for the start of the game, while you collect medals for Badoglio, he's not so bad. Except for the fact that getting the extra medals between Weichs and Bado is so easy. If you can't get Badoglio, Ozawa or Crerar are the way to go
