I only really played the first. But it was my favorite game ever. I mean I have the game and everything, I don't think it works on my computer. The CD could be dirty or something, but I don't know.

Even if your CD install gives you trouble, the GOG downloads are intended to work on modern computers. I got Master of Magic from there, it works beautifully from the startup. I didn't have to tweak it to make it run smoothly. If I had to do it myself, I would have to fine-tune the DOSbox settings again and again until it runs smoothly and beautifully in Windows 8.1 on that laptop of mine.
