Am I the only one who is feeling underrated by guru rank? I honestly can't tell the difference. Guru stuff doesn't show up in mobile. But I suspected that I wouldn't feel the effects of guru stuff that much in desktop because it's probably not that heavily used.

I actually feel overrated by the Guru feature. I should not be at the same rank as Erich von Manstein. He should have a good 3 ranks on me at least

The Guru system is not perfectly accurate but it is somewhat popular and usefull.I think overall it is a good system (even though my own ranking is somewhat lacking as well) I have contacted the developer of that code with suggestions on how to improve the feature and he has stated that he will eventually update it.
The Guru system measures the general membership response to your activity in the game boards ( only WC3/GoG/EU4 boards count in the rating'the other boards do not).It keeps track of:
1)How often your response was liked. 2)How often your response was seleted by the OP as the best answer.
It has some draw back for example some members could be Guru on other boards like the [RP] or [Game modification] boards for example and yet not be rated. Also many members that used to be very active in the game boards long ago but are now more active in other boards do not receive any credit for their past contribution because the Guru system was not implemented retroactively. Finally just because someone liked your answer or selected it as the best answer doesn't necessarily mean your answer was the right answer.Still on average players are smart enough to know when they get the right answer.
As I said before do not worry if your ranking is somewhat lacking you can still be a very valuable member of our community even with low ranking and can contribute to the forum in other ways other than massive amount of perfect game answers. Also think about how you give these answers: the style..the clarity..the language used..often time you can generate more likes simply by changing the wording or the tone of your posts.

It would be nice if you could add Game Mods and Other Games to the ones that are counted. Maybe also RP and Pres & Polls, but not necessarily.
