I could expand it Picard,but this system was specifically built to gage game activity answer posting so that suggestion would somewhat defeat the intended goal.
One of my suggestion to the author of that feature was to add multiple components to the system so we have a similar but different mechanism for the other boards for example we might have a Roleplaying enabler ranking ect..in that way members might have multiple ranking system that can seen on their profiles.

We have debated on this topic when it was introduced. As Saltin explains it above, despite the drawbacks, indeed I can see the positive side of it. I completly agree to keep it only on game parts of this forum and I hope you guys keep this decission active. Rationale behind this opinion: Some people in here are (at some moments) more busy with quantity (post count, stars beside their name and colour of their stars) then quality of their info on easy tech games... These gents have enough presents to spam for.. This system gives a little more info about that quality (although far from perfect.. As saltin explained). Sincerely nb: this does not imply that some people that have low guru stats should not have a higher stat, because they contributed very good stuff too.. The Light Bringer like in your case. nb2: indeed real guru guys from the beginning does not have guru stuff but we all know they are the real guru's ofc  nb3: i think this system can work for newer players asking for help.... If their are 3 diff solutions and manstein with his ubermaster guru status posted 1 of them they may reasoning that this is the best solution.. |
