The languages...you got me there Could you please tell me which religions are there though? I can only think of 10. India doesn't match up to culture though. You'd have your mind blown at how many different cultures and ethnicity are in America. there are hell lot of religions, 10 are the biggest, but on culture you aren't compleately true, one major thing of culture is religion, and there are a lot of stuff there that makes it the most diversed country Religion is a part of culture, but the traditions are also a large part, and many different ethnic and cultural traditions can be found in America. I wouldnt say we are the most diverse, most of us look and act the same, but culturally we are totally different. We house more cultures than in India, for sure.

India, near 1000 languages, 15-25 religions, etc, etc That's analogous to saying Tyrolean is a cultural group apart from other Germans. That is a valid viewpoint though. If so, then America has well over 1 million different groups in comparison to India. We have basically almost every single cultural group here in America from every corner of the world. I don't mean just some immigrated groups. For example, in NYC, I know a friend who was born in there from a family who moved from Dominican Republic and she cooks in the style of Dominican. She hangs out with many people who also came from there or was born of those people. They have a small "village" in the middle of NYC for experiencing the Dominican cultural heritage (food, dancing, arts, you know).

This is very discutable question, Russia is the same story althru there aren't any Africans, there are a lot of different Nations under the name Russia, and in Russia in caucasus they haven't even heard proper Russian language as they doesn't speak in it, same for far north, etc...

I'm referring to the fact that America is beyond what is shown out to the world. Even a broader classification of the "American culture" would be missing out a lot in a TV show. For example, I grew up in Ohio, a large metropolitan area of 2.5 millions (including the commuting for jobs). It's Midwestern. Not the "North" that rednecks in the Southeast keeps talking about. It's somewhat similar to other states nearby like Wisconsin, Missouri or Minnesota. I lived 1 year in Rochester, NY. It's not that drastically different since it's part of the Great Lakes region which is basically Midwestern anyway. I lived in Oklahoma City for 1 year too. It's like Texas, but not that egotistical Texan attitude though. Then I lived in Georgia for 5 years before moving to Florida now. It's part of the South, and boy... the South... >.< Rednecks... Anyway, there's a small Vietnamese and Korean cultural community here in the Northwest Florida (Pensacola). So while someone would see all of those rednecks, he could easily overlook the many smaller groups everywhere. Back home in Ohio, there's 20,000 Somalian refugees making a community there in the Midwestern area of America. It's really hard to compare the life in ... California to Florida or Maine for example. And all of this... it's 330 millions of people from every cultural group in the world.

And that stops me from listening to some music if I could hear it a bit? I prefer classical church music, and I listen to that at the beginning of each church service I attend to. So roughly 25 to 35 min a week, my estimate. The speakers seems to distort the music a bit but it makes it possible for me to hear it though. I can't really fully judge for myself. Anyway, NetherFreek, I am talking about the most diverse as in highest number of cultures and groups of people living in the country. Even if Lebanon has 70% foreigners, they're mostly from other middle eastern countries. Nothing comes close to the entire diversity all over the places of the entire country in America anywhere else. From Los Angeles on one end, to New York City on the end. Try find some place that would match the broad spectrum. Ah that's cool that you retained some of your hearing. Music is the flow of life

You don't need to tell me this, there is a huge Latvian community in USA, but there are a lot of cities in Russia where the only languages you can hear are either Latvian or Estonian...

Well, the most diverse arent western countries to me. It are the third world countries. Look at the rankings, tanzania, congo, papoa new guinea.
It all consist of different tribes that arent fully "modernized".
All these tribes have a different languages, habits and cultural change.
Imo those countries are the most diverse in the world, nothing can beat them
