Sounds desolate. Gotta love the modern forum It didnt feel that way at all though,it had a feel of almost like a chat room and since everyone was starved for usefull EW4 intel everyone was happy to share what ever little we knew at the time. Still doesn't sound as fun as today's forum. There was probably little to no need for moderator interventions, tho |

The way back machine is just way cool,too bad we didnt get captured earlier,it would have been intetesting seeing the very first edition.Our forum started so much smaller. Chaptercheats was one of the main reason I started this forum,that site was the best ressource for EW4 at the time,yet it was such a frustrating forum,all posts were delayed untill a mod approved them,half the time posts were made but never showed up or they might appear several days later.You couldnt post any pics.I wrote several guides for them yet only one or two got published,the rest just disapeared.That place is a joke. They got trolled hard so many times,it was hilarious, people would post some ridiculous answers to questions like "In EW4 how can I win as Austria in X campaign?" someone would reply "Simple just build a tunnel under Paris and use the French demolition team underground then fly them straight to victory" The post would be reviewed for several days then the mods would post that answer or an even more ridiculous one from some other random joker.Their staff didnt know any better because none of the mods were actual players. Man, I just need to ask how does that work? That people decide to create an entire forum with a large base about a game they dont even play? That would be like a scientist creating a forum all about history and then having moderators who were mathematicians. Is that place even up nowadays? The forum had many games in it, EW4 was not a major one. |
