@communist, Calgary Flames I've used your "Control your Allies" mod for GoG and it's AMAZING. This is how this game should have been really. Specially when your success or failure in a campaign relies of your allies and not just on individual goals. For example, several times my allies play so bad that they are beaten and their cities are conquered, and I have to pay for that even if I finish my objective correctly! This is not fair! EasyTech should have implemented some sort of 'cooperation' for the player with his allies at least with their capital cities. For example, I can build units for them using my resources, or even hire a general for their troops. Also, since this game is designed as 'pay to win', no one can complete the game unless they have fully upgraded their General and bought at least 2 others. Your mod allowed me to to finish the first 2 fronts complete with 5 stars for all campaigns without even having an additional General and with my General at 3 stars only (remaining 2 levels of upgrade). At the most it took me 3 tries in certain hard campaigns but I was determined to play them with no additional Generals. I even had few self-imposed rules to make it balanced, for example not to build new units at all or not to use Airfields at all even when I have the resources.
I created this account specifically to write this and thank you for such a wonderful mod that made this game so enjoyable.
Finally I'm wondering whether you intend to revisit this and perhaps finish your "Control your Allies" for the GoG Pacific game. It would be highly appreciated.
Anyway, thank you so much for your time and effort. You're an online hero.

That's the least I can do really. You see, I'm from the generation that grew up with games like Grim Fandango, Alone in the Dark, and Fallout 1&2. It's rare to find games like these anymore among all the DLCs, P2W, and must-be-online games of today. You can't imagine the joy I had when I 'accidentally' found this forum and the "Control your Allies" mod (found during my searching for a solution to the Wuhan Campaign in GoG Pacific - I prefer Pacific because of I love the Navy). This mod seriously brought me back to the old days of enjoyable gaming. I'm no stranger to the value Modders bring to games ever since my Fallout days (the Restoration Mod that completely transformed the game to a timeless master piece). I was just happily surprised that such generous spirited people are still alive and kicking even for a relatively small mobile game. When I say Modders are online Heros I'm not exaggerating at all. It is actually the true definition of the word, unlike the modern day overuse of it to describe normal actions by normal good people. Once again, thank you GA Omar Bradley and @communist and all other Modders out there for your generosity and dedication in providing joy for others. Cheers.
Edit: Forgot to mention that this mod brings back memories of playing Red Alert on dialup with my best friend when we were kids, as we used to play as allies.

Appreciate your words, kl1ph1. I'm no modder, but I do enjoy a good round of GoG and other Easytech games.

@communist, Tito, Hi there, I know it's an old topic for an old game but I thought no harm in leaving a comment. It's about the 'Control you Allies' mod for Glory of Generals Pacific. Just to let you know that there is still interest in that mod. If you could possibly find the time to get back to that, it would be truely amazing. This mod for GoG completely transformed the game and after finishing it for the 5th time now, I managed to do it with all 5 stars without using any extra Generals or any Headquarter upgrades. I checked your YT channel and in the community section I see that you're about to start collage, which naturally comes first of course. In these times, I think classes will be mostly online, and with the lockdowns and everything, this mod might give you something to do to eliminate the boredom If you absolutely don't have the time for that, how about may be writing a step by step guide to what to do to help me (or anyone interested) work on it? I mean I'm certainly not a modder and I don't think it will be as easy as going into the games 'about:config' section and changing the Enable.ControlAllies.process from 0 to 1 to enable it but I have lots of free time (got layed off), some basic programming knowledge, and the motivation and drive to learn something new through a project I really really want Anyway, stay safe and best wishes. Cheers

Why can't i download it, says that i need permission. Help? Probably because author got angry at the form and decided to block Control your allies from downloading.

So I'm assuming that this mod is permanently dead now? Or is there a chance of it coming back?

So I'm assuming that this mod is permanently dead now? Or is there a chance of it coming back? As long as link sharing is off then no one can download it. You may be able to email the developer personally though.
