I apologize for necro'ing this thread... But this serves as a good example from the past about the fad games that tends to show up in the Officers' Lounge then fades away in time. The current fad with the "Noun Games" will just go away sometime later just like the "Alternative History" threads did.
@coolguy14, Remember this old stuff from last summer?

Those were actually slightly fun and not as redundant, but they were quite spacious. To be honest, I forgot about those. |

Nah, just let them eventually slide to page 2 and beyond at some point anyway. I've seen many things become a fad for a brief time then withers in the deeply buried inside the pages of old threads. Been here for almost a year.  |

I didn't mean specifically these threads, because these are not ones that I enjoy. I mean other forum games, like specifically on forum. Obviously it won't happen, but it would mean less games taking up this board and a place for all of them. I still don't think it is feasible though. Whenever I suggested the splitting of Presentations and Polls, I wasn't listened to and this one seems less likely. |

I think it's because like saltin said, an add to the forums has to be for a real good reason, not just a good reason because it's much more economical and efficient to maintain fewer boards that serve the purposes well as a larger # of boards. Some fan community forums has a HUGE page full of boards and it intimidates a visitor and eventually dies from lack of fresh members. |
