So in the American continent academy there is a general called Chung. He looks like he is from the Philippines but I have yet to see him in a conquest. Does anyone actually know where he's from

History lesson time! After WWII, Korea was declared independent from Japan. But the two war-victory countries (USA and Japan) split many former places of war, such as Germany & Korea. The two countries were originally split on the 32nd/39th parallel (can't remember for sure). But war broke out in the Cold War. USA originally pushed the North Koreans back, but the Communist Forces of the PRC & the USSR, pushed the USA back. This established a new border today's border. Although the Korean War isn't being fought today or for awhile for that matter, it was never technically over. This makes the Korean War one of the longest wars ever.

Side Note: Today both the USA and Russia have military bases everywhere! A good portion of the USA bases are in Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Afghanistan, and all around the globe! Not quite sure where Russia is though...

technically ww2 still hasn't ended as Russia abs Japan have yet to sign a treaty I have to disagree. The Yalta Conference was made specifically because WWII was over. WWII is over like how the Korean War is over (Sort of). While the Germans, Italians, Romanians, Bulgarians, Finnish, and Hungarians signed peace treaties with everybody, Japan signed a peace treaty with everyone except Russia. There is a ceasefire, but no official peace, which technically means they are still at war. The reason why there has been no official peace treaty was due to Japanese claims over the Kuril Islands, near Sakhalin.

And due to this thread's loss of topic, I propose an ending to the conversation.

I'd have to look more into him tho.
