Alexander the Great made biggest empire ever Alexander the Great's empire was tiny compared to the British or Mongol Empire, saying it was the biggest is just blatantly false. I'd say Julius Ceasar's conquests, for the following reasons: 1. Spread Roman (Latin) Culture to France and the surrounding regions, therefore also spreading Latin, which would become an important factor for the language of French. 2. His conquests resulted in his fame, and as a result of his later rule over Rome, the Roman senators felt as if their Republican ideals were being subjugated by Caesar's more conservative/dictatorial rule, which would lead to his assassination, the subsequent Roman civil wars, and ultimately the rule of Augustus Caesar who would spread the Roman Empire to the Near East, the Balkans and North Africa.

The conquest of Spain and Gaul revolutionized warfare as well as the Roman Empire. It opened new factors in warfare, like necessary supply and morale, and it brought upon the spread of culture and idea. Also Caesar is my favorite history person...

Lenin or Gorbachev JFK aaaiiantion or Lincolns assination 1st or 2nd balkan war 1st or 2nd world war Gorbachev is too recent for comfort I believe we can keep it under control. I've talked about the Soviet War in Afghanistan and the Angolan Civil War before and nothing bad occurred.

Alexander spread Greek culture throughout the Mediteranian, and he influenced people like Caesar and Hannibal. I'd say he set the foundation for Roman expansion.

It is not about what the teacher says, but how the student acts on it. With Caesar's revolutionary war tactics, how could Alexander beat that?
