The generals on their best respective units get you a quick start, and more or less affect how long it takes. Emphasis on the more or less part. Agreeing with Saltin, the AI will likely make them bullet sponges, or should I say "Nuke" sponges. Generals would plow through the enemy line with good stats at their disposal[depending on said enemy lines units]. Saudi has a good economy for a one star country already and having your generals siege cities like Baghdad or Ankara help a lot, not to mention one of the 2 generals your given at the start, Muhammad, has oil expert 4, boosting oil by 20%. Not all that much but you can never have too much oil until you reach the limit of 9999[then your an oil hoarder]. Good generals to defend is just a given for me, I always have some damn country coming in the backyard, someone needs to stay home. Maybe put some art. generals on field artillery like Zhukov or Badoglio back in Riyadh and Medina.

That's really a very good guide. I tried Saudi for the first time and made in 42 turns. That's much faster then Iran and I am sure there is some room for improvement. In case You are lucky it could be done less then 40 turns almost more or less easy. So thanks a lot to kanue for a very nice guide.
The only difference is that I had to defeat the chinese before the Soviets in Europe otherwise they would enter american continent. Americans and Japan were defeated extremely fast...

Suggest of possible making the most reward conquest stay fixed at the top? This may qualify till we discover faster.

Suggest of possible making the most reward conquest stay fixed at the top? This may qualify till we discover faster. Not a bad idea,I will sticky this thread, since it is so far the most important conquest (along with iran) for gaining the largest amount of ressources (farming) in the game.

Yeah, probably Iran should also be sticked, as Saudi could be a bit more difficult for the beginner, as You need to defend captured Tehran from India and China and it is quite a challange. While Iran could easily be done almost by a newcomer.

Did both Iran and Saudi at same time, also pinned the alien thread since it is attracting lots of views.
And btw kanue wrote: "Warning: Do NOT get too close to Turkey otherwise Bagramyan on super tank will come get you instead of go taking Ankara."
In 2 of my games I managed to attract him and while it was no big deal to quickly dispatch him (since I got strong generals)the problem it created was that Ankara did not fall, and that sorta delayed the entire european theater action. Not a huge deal but the conquest goes much better if Ankara falls and is retaken.
Another case where allies actually hurt you more than help you.Grrr..

I tried this multiple times. I easily defeated Iraq. Then the first wave of enemies came especially from India. After some time I managed to get Teheran. But from that point on the Russian would just send General in my direction and Egypt was just spamming a million paratroopers. I was able to hold them, but as soon as Egypt and Russian reinforcment came I was just overrun. I think I'll stick with the Iran conquest which is imo far easier.

Stronger generals can be of major help here, they can quickly deal with incoming threats as you secure the starting area, and they wont get nuked right away either cause too far away from the major front lines.

Thanks for the guide, but I was wondering what level troop upgrades do you have and which wonders do you have?

Thanks for the guide, but I was wondering what level troop upgrades do you have and which wonders do you have? Honestly, I do not remember what level of my upgrades were at the time I wrote this. What I can recall are high upgrade level for tank but relatively low for infantry and artillery. Airforce was at least at the level that spawns motorized infantry. As for wonders, I think I had Himeji Castle and Hanging Garden but not sure about Forbidden city.

The gold and industry wonders help a lot in conquests specially for 1 star countries that start with a weak economy.
Highly recommend unlocking these and building them before any serious conquest farming can be done.

I made a lot of ressources from this, but it definitely is much harder at the start than Iran.
