TR is the most badass president in American history. But Lincoln or FDR is probably the best.

Since quite a bit have voted, Id think i should share my opinion:
My favorite U.S president is Harry S. Truman. He ended the Second World War quickly, and, while I'm dont support blowing up entire cities, I believe the atomic bombings were necessary in order to avoid much larger U.S or Japanese casualties in Operation Downfall. Following the war, he implemented the Truman Doctrine, stating that the U.S would not tolerate communist expansionism, and the Marshal Plan, giving aid to war torn Western Europe and helped to rebuild houses, factories, etc. He also integrated the Armed Forces, a landmark step in ending racial segregation in the U.S. He also helped to prevent Greece from falling to communism during the Greek Civil War by sending supplies and aid, and when the Soviets demands several Aegean Islands from Greece and the Bosphorus from Turkey, the U.S supported the Turks and Greeks by supplying money to them and basically told the Soviets to back off. He also did prevent (all of) Korea from falling to communism.
And one of the major things is that he didn't really play games in Washington. His executive order to integrate the Armed Forces was just before an election year, and due to the order, it looked like he would not have won the election as the order was very unpopular with the U.S public. But he didnt just give up, he traveled the country during the campaign, garnering massive support. He won the election.

Favorite president? I'll give my opinion after a few people vote FDR why are the others here Because while FDR may be the most well known president to foreigners, Abe Lincoln, Washington, etc. are very popular figures her in the U.S and very important.

O! say can you see, by the dawn's early light, What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming, Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming? And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there; O! say does that star-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
On the shore dimly seen through the mists of the deep, Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes, What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep, As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses? Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam, In full glory reflected now shines in the stream: 'Tis the star-spangled banner, O! long may it wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
And where is that band who so vauntingly swore That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion, A home and a country, should leave us no more? Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution. No refuge could save the hireling and slave From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave: And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave, O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
O! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand Between their loved homes and the war's desolation. Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the Heav'n rescued land Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation! Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, And this be our motto: 'In God is our trust.' And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave! When our land is illumined with Liberty's smile, If a foe from within strike a blow at her glory, Down, down with the traitor that dares to defile The flag of her stars and the page of her story! By the millions unchained who our birthright have gained, We will keep her bright blazon forever unstained! And the Star-Spangled Banner in triumph shall wave While the land of the free is the home of the brave.
