Dont know wheto put this. I was wondering, if Latouche-Tréville didn't die in 1804 and actually fought Nelson at Trafalgar, rather than his replacement Villeneuve, who would've won the battle, what would've happened in your opinion? Please comment?

Please comment? Trafalgar probably wouldn't have happened in the first place. Treville would rekt the British at Cape Finisterre and would probably know better not engage Nelson in the open. If Trafalgar did happen, it could be either a French victory or British, depending on who had a good day. Still, the margin wouldn't be too big. 2 or 3 ships.

Just goes to show how competent Tréville was compared to the rest of the french admiralty, especially his successor Villeneuve.

Nelson wasn't in personal command though.
