I know my TW is the very next one after the current one, but even to this point I am so spilt between China 369 BC or Italy 1454. What to do? What to do? Both of them are great choices! China. Italy has Machiavelli, I might do that for my diplo game. Or you do Italy and I do that Warring States diplomacy ideaI was fiddling around with in my mind. But if it is China, I can help. Don't do the elements system IMO, because not realistic. Instead use the Hundred systems of Thought as your basis; each nation chooses one as ideology which to follow, and get buffs and rebuffs accordingly. Changing ideology will only be done under certain circumstances, obviously. E.g. Legalism: + 2 BP per province, + 10 revolt risk. |

Funny that you mentioned Machevilli and the Warring States... My ideas about Italy or China were both based off two Diplomacy variants. Italy, ofc, 1454 AD, is Machevilli. But my inspiration for China came from "Mandate of Heaven". The five elements, well that's something I wanted to use for justification for a 5 item Rock, Paper, Scissors system. |
