What must one do to determine the percentages? I went back 5 generations (Great-Great-Grandparents), calculated the share each has in my genes, and then mathed based on where they lived

What must one do to determine the percentages? Well, there are DNA tests. They cost some coin, depending on whether or not you get the big ones like 23 and Me or if possible just swab the inside of your cheek (try to get any and all food out yet mouth) and test it. Not sure where you'd send said swab. "Send said swab." Say that 5 times fast. For example, we did a DNA with my two dogs. Somehow one isn't even above my knee and has Saint Bernard in it, and the 2nd had poodle. The 2nd is smaller. -insert the wtf memes- Then we have good ole Ancestry.Com, self explanatory. In this great day and age, you have many methods to find your ancestral homeland.
