So I just finished a 62-turn win and I have a few tips:
Invade San Francisco and Los Angeles ASAP. It will help greatly with the rest of your early war efforts, giving you resources to wage fort war on Moscow and war in other countries (more on that later). Use Nagano, Ozawa, Naguno, and the other Battleship general nearby, as well as the Rocket Arty general sitting on Sapporo and Itagaki and a few Heavy Tanks and Rocket Artys. You can spend a couple of turns building up a good fleet. Once both cities are taken, split the amphibious assault in two: The navy will go, along with a few submarines to support it, to beat the American navy in the Pacific, take Hawaii and Australia (BRISBANE!!!), and the land fleet will conquer North America. Send an infantry or two to Hawaii in order to claim it, and then start making armored cars and using them in North America, along with whatever's left of your previous fleet. Once you take Denver, start making MIs in the West Coast and send them up to Canada and Alaska. Itagaki is key to claiming North America. In my game, I used Manstein on a Heavy Tank, but Itagaki with support from a bunch of Armored Cars and Motorized Infantries or maybe even Field Artilleries will work wonders in claiming cities as well. Focus on storming Washington first, and then New York, followed by Ottawa and Toronto.
Once you take all of North America, you can begin to immediately invade Europe, as by that time your Asian-Russian-European campaign trail should have succeded. First, as you're doing all of this in North America and the Pacific, you should start taking China. The best way to defeat the infantry generals is to send either Armored Cars or Commandos, both of which are very effective against Infantry. To kill Bai, I recommend you bring Yamamoto up and bomb him a few times until he dies. Once Bai dies, use Yamamoto as support for all of Asia, dragging him down the Asian coast and systematically attacking Chanchung, Shanghai, Hongkong, Taipei, Bangkok (yes, Thailand will die), the French and British Indochinan colonies, and finally Australia. Once your navy has done all of that, you may leave it there or drag it across the Panama Canal and use it to conquer either Africa or Europe, albeit it probably won't be necessary. thing that I didn't do was to Invade Russia through India and Stalingrad. I rushed over to Moscow to stop the Soviet steamroller from killing the whole European Axis (they managed to defeat Germany and all of the Balkans, however). It would be wise to send Yamashita and another MI to Moscow and wage Fort Warfare on Moscow, and instead send a big fleet to take India, followed by going directly to Stalingrad or if you're feeling lucky you could take Iran and use it as a base for your Balkans campaign. Spamming MI is key in Asia, until you get to Europe, where field artilleries are what will wreak havoc on cities. Once in Europe, you'll follow the path of the Soviet steamroller. By that time you probably have a bunch of gold, which can be used for air strikes on cities. I would recommend air striking the Nordics first, as they have no air resistance and are really just 2-3 cities and therefore you shouldn't bother sending too many troops up there (they might freeze to death!). On Europe, shift your war focus and start spamming Field Artilleries. Once you take Paris, use Strategic Bombing to take London and any British generals that might be left on the island, and from there take the rest of England with Heavy Tanks. Finally, Africa is simple. Take Jerusalem with troops from Iran/Stalingrad, then Cairo and Alexandria (if Italy hasn't taken them yet). Alternatively, in the rare scenario that both Athens and Alexandria are in enemy hands, storm Athens and bomb and paradrop into Alexandria, and from there storm Egypt if needed. With one of the Egyptian cities under your control, clear the rest of them and then send either Armored Cars or Motorized Infantry across Africa and sweep up whatever's left of the British and French Empires. The Spanish and Italians probably won't do much; on rare occasions, they will have rid the French and British Empire. Don't count on them for that, however, and prepare to send MI's and AC's. Don't forget about your troops: Not moving them for a turn can mean the difference between getting the Great Pyramids or not, or maybe even could mean losing an important troop or a whole battalion.
