/\ This, yup Really? I expected more Linux users. Though I guess its just from the perspective of a programmer since its so secure. Well you have to consider the practical usage. The compatibility of Windows can't be beat. Anytime I download a program or install from a CD, I want this to work. More often than not, it does work fine on a Windows PC. If I got a printer or something, I want this printer to work with my computer, so Windows again. Plus I'm a retro-gamer, many emulators actually run smoother on Windows than Linux anyway. Apple's OS is a uber-snob that thinks so low of every item that wasn't imported from Apple's China manufacturing division. I never liked Steve Jobs' stupid philosophy "It's my way or the highway for you!" Linux, well... it's fraught with issues, and I don't feel like running WinE every single time just to play Civ3 or some other random game.

Windows:gamers, anyone not listed Linux:same as you and people doing Raspberry Pi.

Windows. As I see it: Apple: People with Money to spend but low tech skill, people scared away by bad Windows editions but not tech-savvy enough for Linux, Linux on PC: Tech folks who don't throw around money Linux on Mac: Tech people who have too much money DOS:Dinosaurs Windows: Everyone Else

I would 100% recommend it though 99/100 Techies I know (I live in Silicon Valley, so the people I consider Techies are really hardcore techies) use Linux.

However, to me the best argument for Windows is the amount of Steam Games on Windows vs. Apple

I confess my sins! I do have a mac emulator on my PC! Don't burn me at the stake any time soon! I promise it's all for a good reason. You see, I grew up with a very ancient mac with its cutesy kiddie games. One of the most popular mac games during my childhood (extremely specific era, tho... kids who were a little older or younger never had played it) was a game called Power Pete. I played it a lot, and my sister as well. We worn out THREE joysticks in a row with that game alone. I managed to get to all 3 worlds on the easy mode, then do it all again in medium mode but with a fourth world added to that mode as well. Then finally, I played the hard mode, finished the first 4 worlds and I was just one level away from finishing the fifth world and win for once and all. The mac had some problems, my dad didn't have time to fix it, so it never got fixed after all of these years. Eventually, it got scrapped. Power Pete can only work on a very specific OS (Mac OS 7.6 to 7.8.5) and even if you had a mac that's just happens to be newer than its era, it will NOT run Power Pete at all. Modern macs cannot run it at all either. So it requires a very specific but difficult setup to emulate, and once it was set, I really had a lot of fun relieving the childhood game and finish it for once and all. This is a worthy cause to blemish my hands with a mac emulator. (Disclaimer: if you were thinking that I was milking it. No, I didn't dramatized it. I was really one level away from the final level then could only play it now on after waiting almost 16 years).

Pretty sure its still banned though,
